The Victoria School Centre (25 Joseph Street, Kitchener; entrance off David Street) offers a variety of daytime courses including keyboarding, Windows, Word, Introduction to Computers, Internet, and a Computer Maintenance Workshop. Conestoga College offers an extremely wide range of computer courses including 1-day workshops (519-748-5220 ext. 3373), in-class courses (519-748-5220 ext. 3656), on-line and self-paced CD-ROM courses (519-748-5220 ext. 3393), and part-time (748-5220 ext. 3656) and full-time (519-748-5220 ext. 3628) certificate programs at its Doon, Waterloo and Guelph campuses. Lutherwood CODA (Community Opportunities Development Association) at 165 King St. E., Kitchener offers their services free of charge to youth aged 16 to 24 years. Their Youth Employment Centre offers free computer and internet access for youth seeking employment, housing and education. Printing, phones, fax and photocopier services are available free of charge. There is a nominal fee for disks. Computer training is not provided. Northern Lights (2-409 Weber Street West, Kitchener)offers free computer and internet access for anyone seeking employment as part of the Centre's employment and career counselling services. Appointments are not necessary. No computer training is provided on site but limited assistance is available. The Social Planning Council's Community Information Centre (68 Queen Street North, Kitchener) offers free computer and internet access for the general public. Reservations are not necessary. The first 5 pages printed are free, after that the fee is $0.15 per page. Computer training is not provided and limited assistance is available. Office open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. The Working Centre's Job Resource Centre (58 Queen Street South, Kitchener) offers free computer and internet access to the general public as part of their employment counselling and job search programs. The Centre also offers a variety of computer courses through its On-line Self-Directed Computer Training Program. Additional computer courses are offered periodically at the Centre.
